Being positive in your thoughts and actions opens you up to the possibilities of life.

It makes you more likable by everybody around you.

Positive thinking can help you achieve your goals in life.

And most importantly, being positive makes you a happier person.

Here are a few things you can do to bring positivity into your every day life:

1. Realize it’s possible, instead of telling yourself why you can’t.

The only step in achieving a positive mindset, is to just do it.

Only you can change the way you think, and it’s important to realize that it can be done.

Stop making excuses for why you can’t, or why it’s easier to be negative all the time.

Negativity will never get you where you want to go.

2. Squash negative thoughts like a bug.

It’s simple, replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

Every time you feel yourself getting a negative thought, stop it in its tracks before it even happens.

Don’t let it fill you.

Tell yourself, “I see you, but I don’t want to hear you, so go away”

3. Love what you have already.

You must be grateful for your life, your gifts, and other people every single day.

Focus on what you have, not on what you haven’t.

The happiest people are not those who have everything they love, but those who love everything they have.

4. Don’t compare yourself to others.

Instead, be inspired by them.

You are nothing like the person next to you.

You have your own goals, desires, accomplishments, and virtues.

Focus on being your best self, and you will always be good enough.

5. Accept criticism with grace.

Criticism is an unavoidable part of life.

Sometimes, it is necessary and even helpful.

Ignore the naysayers.

And remember, you get to be the judge of how you let it affect you.

Let criticism make you better, not take you down.

6. See bad things as a blessing in disguise.

Look at failure as a stepping stone to success.

Bad things are going to happen, things that we cannot control.

Instead of letting them defeat you, allow them to make you stronger.

Find the lessons in everything, especially the hard stuff.

7. Surround yourself by those who are positive.

It’s hard to keep positive if you are surround by those who are not.

They will try to bring you down, not because they are mean, but because misery loves company.

Surround yourself with people who inspire you, who love life just as much as you.

And if you ever falter, you will have them there to steer you back into your path of positivity.

8. Complain less, smile more.

We all have things we could complain about, but that doesn’t mean we should.

Life is short.

Don’t waste your time complaining.

Instead, spend your time with a smile on your face.

There is so much good in your life, why focus on the bad.

9. Imagine that you’re already positive.

Then, become that person in your next act.

Living a positive life begins with your thoughts.

Think you are positive, act positive, and you will become positive.
